Kaylanna Lipinski couldn’t defeat cancer a second time but she left a lasting impression on everyone around her with her approach to life, and ultimately to death itself
Kaylanna Lipinski, who survived a rare cancer when she was five years old, developed jaundice three months after Valentina was born, in October 2021. In hospital, doctors discovered she had a different rare cancer of the kidneys. It had spread to her liver and other parts of her body and treatment was unsuccessful. She died at age 19, on July 25.
