Service Canada to offer information sessions and clinics at KFPL

This fall, Service Canada, in partnership with Kingston Frontenac Public Library (KFPL), is offering a user-friendly option to access services for residents.

In a media release, KFPL provided the following details on these upcoming sessions:

Newcomer Session: On Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Calvin Park Branch, newcomers to Canada will get an overview of Service Canada offerings, including the benefits of Social Insurance Number (SIN) acquisition, the Job Bank, Foreign Credentials Recognition, Employment Insurance, the Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security. No library card is required to register.

Indigenous Peoples Session: A dedicated session for members of Indigenous communities will be held on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Central Branch. Discover the advantages of the Post-Secondary Education Support Program, Youth Employment…
