Aug. 6: Excellent care at Juravinski, poor coverage of Hamilton Cardinals and other letters

Last week our mother was discharged from the Juravinski Hospital feeling much better after a health emergency the week before, on the day of the Rogers outage.

We are so thankful for the compassionate and hardworking nurses and doctors who did tests and got her health back on track. The ward while full with forty patients was well staffed and attentive to patient care.

Mom is 96 years old … and used the excellent hospital Wi-Fi for her iPad!

She had a brief stay down in Emergency prior to the ward.

Two days before Mom was discharged last week, I witnessed the actions of the nurses and doctors with a 79-year-old lady right across from Mom.

She also had a health emergency the week before but wasn’t improving. After seeing and hearing her only son in distress while asking a nurse for help, I went over and put my arm around him as he cried.
