Calgary, AB. (November 12, 2023) — Two Canadian women placed in the top 10 at today’s FIS Alpine Ski World Cup race in Levi, Finland. Ali Nullmeyer (Toronto, ON) delivered back-to-back sixth place finishes this weekend, while Laurence St-Germain (St. Ferréol-les-Neiges, QC) raced to seventh place today.
Under a blue sky and racing on long shadows from the setting sun in the Lapland region of Finland, Nullmeyer was sixth after the first run and held that position with a strong second run. St-Germain was a model of consistency today finishing ninth in the first run and seventh in the second run. St-Germain has now finished in the top 10 in three of the last five World Cup slaloms dating back to last season.
Amelia Smart (Invermere, BC) and Justine Lamontagne (St-Ferréol-les-Neiges, QC) did not advance to the second run.
